We Answered Our Calling
Specialized Services Company (SSC) is a family-owned and operated excavation company. In 1969, US West counted on us to help expand Arizona’s phone service by laying underground cable and installing new phone booths across the state. From there, our business grew to include all forms of excavation, main line construction, asphalt and concrete work. We’ve also been called on to handle specialty jobs like racking, coring or placing CEV’s, catenaries and manholes.
New Technology Brought New Capabilities
In 1985, we expanded our business to include new advances in trenchless technology like horizontal and directional boring, pipe bursting, pipe ramming and large diameter tunneling. These new capabilities allow us to install utilities under freeways, canals, railroad tracks and driveways using 2” PVC up to 120" steel casing without open cutting the surface.

Today, SSC maintains the industry’s leadership position by continuing to provide our customers with reliable service of the highest quality at a competitive price. But we’re still a family owned and operated company with the same friendly faces and high standards.
